About Me
I am Lee Ellis who
came up with the idea for the pocket rod pod. I have been a carp angler for
over 20 years and get out 2 nights a week in between work. I suppose over this
time I have seen all sorts of products come and go – some good and some bad. I
also run a lake in the Cambridgeshire area.
Me, I am an average
carp angler in an average carp angling world. My targets change from year to
year. I like to fish for fish that have grown within their own environments,
sometimes they are big and sometimes not so. I am quite stubborn though and
like to finish the lake before moving on, I don’t flit about from lake to lake.
At this time I am ready to move and hoping that the final piece of the jigsaw
will be caught this year – watch this space!
Thank God for carp fishing,
my life evolves around it and all my friends are as a result of it. I would
like to say thanks to my friends for the support you have given me with this
project.
Anyway how did the
pocket rod pod come about? I was driving home one night from work thinking as
usual about cutting my tackle down (which I even still struggle with on
overnighters!) and I thought about my rod pod. If I needed a pod I would get
that out which was all stainless and then put all my banksticks away. Surely
there must be away around it. Why do we need a pod and all our bankstick. So
after a few drawings and meeting an engineer who liked to tinker about in his
shed we came up with a prototype, a few changes later and over a year of
getting the manufacturers to get it right I am here with the product. I am
really pleased with the quality and know you will be.
